Course Overview:

Richmond Choral society is a small, friendly non-auditioning choral society. We welcome singers of all abilities and experiences; rehearsal aids will be given or recommended to help you learn your voice part.

There are no entry requirements or auditions; the ability to read music is helpful but not essential

Course Content:

Mendelssohn’s Elijah
This term we will learn Mendelssohn’s glorious oratorio Elijah, with its beautiful and accessible choruses. We will be accompanied by the piano and will be joined by four soloists for our final performance in a local church.
The choir is mixed ability and very friendly; all are welcome. The pace and style of rehearsals is tailored to the needs of the choir; help is given, and rehearsal aids produced if necessary.

Assessment Methods:

Assessment is informal and ongoing and music will be provided (and need not be learned by heart); you need to bring a pencil and rubber to each session.
