Richmond Adult and Community College and Hillcroft College have announced their intentions to merge and have today published a consultation document outlining their proposal for the merger to take effect from 1 August 2017.
This merger offers an exciting opportunity to combine the expertise of the two colleges in providing an outstanding range of innovative courses and learner support services. It provides a platform from which we can grow and flourish. It enables the colleges to become financially sustainable and thus better able to protect and develop provision to meet the needs of our learner groups. The colleges will retain their distinctive appeal and protect the nature of the curriculum offers.
The merger is a natural progression from the existing federation agreement between the two colleges and will build on the relationships and joint working already in place.
The public consultation runs until 5 May 2017 and all responses must be received by the closing date. All responses will be collated and the outcomes of the consultation will be published on the college’s website in June.
