Richmond Jazz School continues to offer a unique range of courses from beginners to advanced levels for all instruments and voice and players of all ages making it one of the largest resources for adult jazz education anywhere in the U.K.
Our teaching faculty team are not only excellent tutors but also performers at the highest level with band leaders Henry Lowther, Tony Woods, Dave Jones and Julian Costello regularly leading their groups at top venues in London and nationally.
Guitar tutor Charles Alexander is currently developing a range of specific tuition videos and singing tutors Linley Weir, Geoff Castle and Wendy Linsey perform regularly.
Our popular one, three and five day intensive holiday courses over Christmas, Easter and Summer are open to both existing and new students and draw upon our regular faculty teachers with some special guests also visiting. Recent guests include Pete Cater, Elliot Henshaw, Nigel Price, Roger Beaujolais, Tim Whitehead and Roberto Pla.
Students on the RJS One year course have an option to take the Trinity Performance Diploma exams and 2015/16 saw successful candidates achieving ATCL (level 4) and LTCL (level 5) Recital Diplomas and ATCL Pro-Music Performance Diplomas.
