The Access to Higher Education Diploma

If you are considering going to University but do not have traditional qualifications to gain entry then an Access to HE Diploma may be the right course for you.

 

Our courses are part-time so that you can work whilst completing the qualification.

Do universities recognise the Access to HE Diploma?

The Access to HE Diploma is widely recognised by UK universities, and many actively encourage applications from Access to HE students. Each year, around 20,000 Access to HE students apply for a degree course at a UK university.They go on to study a wide range of subjects, including law, education, and business. Find out more from the official Access to HE website.

Enrol on an Access to HE course

To enrol on one of our Access to HE course starting September 2015 or January 2016, you must be 19 or over on the 31st August 2015.  If you are 19 to 24 the course is free to eligible students and if you are 24 or over there are student loans available which will not require repayment if you progress and complete a University course (find out more).

To enrol on an Access to HE course you will be required to complete an application form and an English and Maths assessment test at the college prior to attending the interview.

 

GCSE Courses

We offer a range of different GCSEs in English, mathematics and single science, delivered over one year. Some learners may be able to join an intensive maths or science GCSE in January depending on study skills and prior knowledge of the subject.  English and Maths GCEs are free for all learners without a GCSE grade C and above.
